A pecan pie you can enjoy without feeling guilty because it’s made with Pure Via sweetener and a sugar free syrup. But only one piece per person allowed!
Makes 8 servings
1 refrigerated pie crust from a 15 ounce (425 g) package
2 large eggs
2 large egg whites
1 cup (250 mL) Cary Sugar Free Syrup
2/3 cup (150 mL) Pure Via granulated*
2 Tablespoons (30 mL) molasses
1 Tablespoon (15 mL) all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon (5 mL) vanilla
¼ teaspoon (1 mL) salt
1 cup (250 mL) pecan halves
Sugar Free Whipped Topping (optional)
Preheat oven to 350°F. Roll pie crust to an 11-inch circle. Fit into a 9-inch pie plate. Flute edges; set aside.
Nutritional information (per serving)
Whisk eggs and egg whites until blended. Whisk in sugar free syrup, Pure Via sweetener, molasses, flour, vanilla and salt until combined. Stir in pecans. Pour into pie crust.
Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool completely on wire rack before serving. Top each piece with sugar free whipped topping, if desired.
* Substitute 16 packets Pure Via sweetener
